Connection Groups are an important aspect of our community at Parkminster because they keep us accountable in our faith and provide us with companionship and "life support" throughout our Christian walks. Look at the list of groups below to see if any of the opportunities for connection appeal to you.
KIDBUILDERS: 1st Sunday of the month, noon-1:30
This monthly gathering for young families includes games, family worship, and parent study. We're studying a book called Parenting From the Tree of Life.
Leader: Dawn Stocks
242 FELLOWSHIP | 1st Wednesday & 3rd Friday of each month, 5:30 - 8:15 pm
242 is all about Christian Community! The 242 Fellowship gets its name from Acts 2:42 - They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. This verse sums up what 242 is about. It's not complex, it's not formal, it's not fancy. It's people. People who are devoted to experiencing Jesus together.
We have a meal ($5/person), worship, and hear a person's faith story, then have a short teaching. We then break up into smaller groups for sharing and prayer. Wednesdays we finish at 8:15 pm; on the Friday gathering we have more time to hang out and play games afterward and we will go a bit later. Sign up each time by contacting the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 247-2424. Child care is available, and let us know if you need a ride.
